The answer to you question "So do you study Kenjutsu?" is a little more complex than you might think :D. This is because of the endless discourse as to what actually constitutes kenjutsu.
I'm nidan in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu iaido. Technically, some of this this can be interpreted as kenjutsu as kenjustsu is what happens [i]after[/i] the katana has left the saya. Up to that point it's iaido.
Confused yet :D? Basically iai is the sword fighting equivalent of the fast draw gunslinger in that our aim is to perform a lethal or incapacitating strike directly from the saya. Of course there is vastly more to than that and there is a deep well of spiritual and psychological aspects too.
