私をじしょうかいさせていただきます。
I'm new here, and new to the Japanese language. I've been listening to Japancast for a while (around episode 40 now), and I'm set on learning this language. I've learned and recall most ひらがな, I'm working through かたかな now, and I've learned a few basic kanji, as well as simple grammar. The problem I have now is vocabulary. I've tried reading simple sentences, but I'm unfamiliar with the particles and vocab used--that is to say, I can pronounce what I'm reading, but I have no idea what it means! <(-_-;)
にほんごがわからない!
I have the Pimsleur comprehensive, and I''m about to start that, and I have about 5 other books, including a vocab and pocket dictionary. I'm just not sure where to start. If anyone has recommendations, I'd love to hear them, especially if I don't have to shell out a ton of money, as I'm pretty cheap.
I look forward to meeting everyone and learning more, and I hope I can help others here as well! If you'd like to know a bit more about me, feel free to contact me.
うれしいです!
