Just out of curiousity, what level did you do?
Also, I heard that from next year they're introducing another level between 2 and 3 because apparently the level of difficulty between 2 and 3 is too great. So from next year there will be FIVE level.
Yes the JLPT is changing in 2010. There's a new level between where JLPT 3 and 2 and for the highest 2 levels (N1 and N2 - JLPT L1 and L2) you will be able to take the exam twice yearly if you live in some far eastern countries.
I took the JLPT Level 4 exam last month and I'm glad it's over so just waiting patiently for the results now. Fingers crossed!! (^.^)
I wish i took Japanese classes. unfortunately I didn't have the time or money so I taught myself. I wish I could take formal classes and take an exam so I at least know where I stand.
Its not fair because my cousins who speak Japanese fluently get to go to Japan and stuff like that.
T_T
It is my goal to partake in and pass the Lv. 2 or higher JLPT Test no later than a year after I graduate from high school. That will be the official document proving the efforts I have poured in to my studies, and be a major milestone in becoming fluent in the language. It's a challenge since I don't have a teacher (at least not yet), but I love those types of challenges. I wish you good luck in the hopes that I, too, will achieve this level.
