Anybody know anything about the JMSDF?

I am in the US Navy going to work with them this August and I am curious about a lot of things. Most important for me is information about interactions between enlisted and officers and how honorifics and etc work in the rank structure. Anything about their shipboard life would be interesting too but I'll bet that is information you can only gain through first hand experience since that's how I learned it in the US.

I am quite sure this is hard info to find, at least in English, but any little bit helps.
