Sadly, Dan, I didn't get to see what you wrote because it's been removed from Wikipedia :(. It would seem it was considered advertising, which in a way I suppose it was.

It'd be nice to see the fruits of your efforts tho' - could you not post it here for us to read?

Video Sharing
Many users post their videos on Japancast social.

Picture Sharing
Users can also post pictures; Who ever posts their face will get shownotes free*.

Personal Pages
Users, on sign up, get a personal page with all of their uploads, Discussion, video, picture submissions.

Media Player
Users can upload music, listen to others' music or even have the podcast on their page.

Meebo Chatroom
On the main page, there is a chat room in which anyone may post**.

Forum
A Friendly community is always avaliable, for all Japanese-related problems.

Competitions
There are Competitions held; One of which was lesson #33 (7th of November, 2006), where a Tokyo flash watch was the prize. Tokyo Flash watches are very exclusive and expensive.

Anybody who is a Member of Japancast "Social" can easily contact Hitomi or Paul, with a click of a button.

"Japancast.net" is a small, self-produced site hosted by WordPress that allows people to learn Japanese easily and swiftly through the podcast media. Japancast.net was created on the 10th of December, 2005 by Hitomi and Paul Griswold, a married couple in Indiana, America. As of the 5th of April, 2008,
Hitomi and Paul are on their 71st episode.

Episodes
Each episode is usually around 30 minutes and focused on one subject. Another thing that increased the popularity of Japancast is that every episode is controlled by the listener;
Very often a listener/s will influence the episode.

Example
If a user sends a message to Paul or Hitomi, and that message gets chosen, the subject of that message will become the subject of the latest episode

Website Details
Japancast.net is hosted by WordPress and has the Mandingo Theme. It once featured a forum, but after a spammer attack on the forums, Paul had to take it down.
The spam attack posted inappropriate links on a once family friendly community. There are a number of links on the Japancast site, including Hitomi's Diary, a briliant
resource for reading Japanese.

Japancast Friends
A new release, "Japancast Friends" is a long awaited feature that, unfortunatly, did not excite all users as much as they hoped. For, Japancast friends was supposedly a
penpal service for all, but as it was released, Japancast confirmed that you would have to be 18 to be "of legal age"Quote from Paul Griswold, There for most
